Revue a Mi-Parcours du Plan d'Action National Budgétise de Planification Familiale 2015-2020

République de Côte d'Ivoire, Ministère de la Santé et de l'Hygiène Publique

Description:

In April 2019, HP+ supported Côte d'Ivoire's Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene Coordination Directorate of the National Program for Maternal and Child Health to review the country's National Costed Implementation Plan for Family Planning 2015-2020. This review, which examined planned activities to determine levels of progress made, compliance with commitments, and relevance of implemented strategies, revealed that while the country has made significant progress in its family planning initiatives since 2015, challenges remain. Insufficient legislation and regulations related to reproductive health and the instability of funding for family planning pose obstacles to successful achievement of the plan. This report details the findings of the review and recommendations to help support Côte d'Ivoire in working toward achieving its objective of a 36-percent contraceptive prevalence rate by 2020.
