Liberia Private Health Sector Assessment

This assessment provides an overview of the size, nature, and capacity of the private health sector that delivers family planning and maternal and child health services in Greater Monrovia. It also explores challenges and constraints faced by the private sector in providing quality health services to communities. The findings indicate that, despite constraints, the government of Liberia and donors have the opportunity to efficiently and intentionally create improvements in the health system and better leverage private actors for improved health outcomes.
